My name is Ines Bellina and I’m currently fumbling my way through the freelance life. My newsletter offers everything I’ve learned about making it as a writer so you don’t have to make the same silly mistakes I did. Since giving office jobs the finger in 2018, I’ve managed to make a living strictly as a wordsmith through a combination of content marketing, translation work, and the kind of writing dubbed cool by the cool kids. This means bylines in Shondaland, The A.V. Club, Chicago Magazine, The Takeout, Wine Enthusiast, and more. I’m also currently in the process of trying to publish this damn novel that I’ve been working on since 2015 and you get to hear me whine about that too. My newsletter includes: - Musings on my latest attempts at making a living through my writing, cause I can’t seem to let that teen dream go. - An actual income and progress report because I’m “edgy” like that. - Q&As with other writers about their own journeys because apparently I don’t know EVERYTHING (shocking). - Recommended books, films, TV shows and other miscellaneous items that make me less cranky.

This is a weekly newsletter with resources about stuff for techies which I found interesting. The goal of this newsletter is to share resources from my blog and the Internet that are related to topics that I found interesting as a software developer. The content related to TypeScript, Node, programming languages in general, testing for devs, writing and note-taking, useful resources about computer science, algorithms and data structures, interview preparation, software architecture, books, DevOps, and many many other interesting things.
Letters on Being is a weekly newsletter about health, happiness, and life’s myriad nuances. My hope is that reading it will feel like talking with an old friend under the stars at 2 a.m. No matter what we’re talking about, it’ll be exactly what we need to hear. I say “we” because I want this to be a place of conversation and storytelling. I want it to be a campground where we gather around the fire and tell ghost stories in hushed voices. We’re all too complicated and largely irrelevant, but at least we’re here together.
